Valentines is one of those holidays that leave you scavenging for unique things to do. Christmas/New Years is easy–its all laid out in traditions that take all the work out of the imagination. Valentines is different–there are only so many ‘different’ restaurants, only so many walks & candies one can eat. I listened to it just to get an idea of the feel of the night. WOW! I can’t stop listening to it-literally on repeat! She has an awesome voice, strong and brooding, sultry and powerful. I see her voice in Pink & black…this piece (oh yeah–I will be stationed in the cocktail lounge painting live) i can see it already–just like her voice–the edges painted deep black–dark & overwhelming like the darkest of night, but deep from within the center, a starburst of hot almost fluorescent pink -brilliant explosion of colour! just like her voice…starts light…then swells like an ocean wave. beautiful voice! i can’t wait to hear her live–and channel her voice in colour!
